REDFIN- RENTALS SAVED SEARCH
Product Design | UX | RESEARCH
Summary
As a founding member of the new Redfin Rentals team, we built a better Saved Search experience. This has helped our customers easily save their search preferences, get notified when new listings match their qualifiers, and to better stay on top of their search in a more visible way.
PROBLEM
Renters often run multiple searches with different criteria across platforms. Our research showed that customers wanted to be able to save important searches so that they could more easily access them and get notified as fast as possible when relevant homes are listed.

Research
Key Findings:
Most of our current customer base saves between 3 and 10 filtered searches over time.
There was a redundancy in the filters used for each search that was not made visible to customers.
It was important for customers to be able to view the most important filters for each of their searches.
What the page looked like before
We decided to create a card framework for Saved Searches that gave room for adding more relevant filter data. We also made it scalable to include features to come in Q3 and Q4 of 2022.
